Pilgrimage for Solo Euphonium (Piano + Digital Accomp)
Written in early 2022, Pilgrimage sends the audience through a journey, not for the faint of heart. The piece is inspired by the idiom, “the only way out, is through“. The opening movement starts us off on our journey with imagery of leaving the port and sailing into open waters. The second movement sets us in a harrowing evening storm that tests the strength of the ship and its crew. The third movement finds us in a moment of respite before finding land on the horizon and the notion that all is not lost.
